Matrix Systems (Pvt) Ltd is looking to hire a Software Quality Assurance Engineer (SQAE) for one of our product teams. We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual who can help us ensure the highest level of quality in our software products. You will be collaborating with the product team to understand product requirements and determine testing needs accordingly.

NOTE: This is an ON-SITE job based in Karachi for the day shift (9am - 6pm)

Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform integrated and component testing
• Design test cycles to validate performance, security, scalability, and other NFRs
• Conduct formal reviews of technical artifacts such as the software requirement specification, functional specification, design specification, installation guide, etc.
• Establish requirements traceability to test cases and other artifacts
• Setup and maintain necessary test environments
• Conduct the relentless root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process improvements
• Perform R&D on new quality assurance & control methodologies and technologies
• Create test reports to document test results and software quality metrics
• Perform Automation testing

Knowledge and Skills

• What you need for this position:
• Adept at software testing (STLC, testing types, test execution best-practices, defect-reporting, etc.)
• Real passion for problem-solving and for driving quality into every aspect of a project
• Requirements Analysis (Test-case writing, test-data creation, scenarios and path analysis, etc.)
• Good understanding of Software Quality, V&V process, and Agile testing concepts
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (SQL query writing, analyze data issues, etc.)
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or related field
• minimum 1 year of relevant experience
• Nice to have:
• Prior programming or scripting experience
• Hands-on experience in testing enterprise and web applications
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium etc.
• Familiarity with QA management tools such as Quality Center, Bugzilla, TestLink, etc.
